The ProFyre T8 2-Wire Fire Alarm Panel provides a versatile solution for small to medium-sized installations, integrating conventional, basic addressable, and 2-wire conventional technologies. Ideal for new builds, retro-fits, and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), it prioritises ease of installation, wiring flexibility, and reducing unwanted alarms.
The system allows wiring as up to eight radials or a single loop, connecting all detectors, call points, sounders, and interfaces via the same two wires. This design enables two-core spurs and tees within zones and eliminates the need for end-of-line devices or true radial wiring, significantly reducing installation time and costs.
Key functionalities include unique device identification, facilitating easy location of individual components with optional text labels. The panel also offers cable break identification and incorporates short-circuit isolators per radial zone to prevent system disruption. An auto-configuration function verifies connected devices, streamlining commissioning.
For environments like HMOs, the T8 features advanced alarm verification. Smoke detectors can be programmed to trigger a local alarm initially, allowing occupants to address the situation before full evacuation, with a failsafe for heat detection or a second smoke alarm. All devices are constantly monitored, reporting malfunctions with a unique ID and a time-stamped log. A ‘Zone Check’ facility aids in identifying devices and verifying cable runs. Seamless integration with Wi-Fyre wireless technology, via a zone/loop powered interface, allows wireless components to be added without extra power supplies, further enhancing system adaptability.
