Eurofyre offers the InfraSensing Standalone H2 & VOC Off-Gas Sensor, a compact device designed for real-time monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hydrogen (H₂) gas levels. It’s particularly useful in sensitive environments such as data centres and industrial facilities where lithium-ion batteries are used. These batteries can release VOCs and hydrogen during thermal stress, signalling potential overheating or thermal runaway, which can lead to fires or explosions.

The sensor employs advanced technology to accurately detect a broad range of VOCs and hydrogen gas levels, triggering alerts when thresholds are exceeded. It boasts a fast response time of under 30 seconds and a lifespan of over 10 years under normal operating conditions. The device is designed for indoor use and is powered by a base unit.

Key features include the ability to integrate with larger network management systems via SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) traps for automated monitoring and alerts. It can also connect to InfraSensing’s SensorGateway for centralised environmental monitoring.

Technically, the sensor measures VOCs within a 0-500 index range and hydrogen from 0-100% LEL with ±5% accuracy. It also measures temperature and humidity. The unit operates within a temperature range of -30°C to +60°C and humidity below 90% rH. It’s designed for flexible mounting options like 0U rack, DIN rail, magnetic, or wall mounting.
