Overview
The Ajax EN54 FireProtect Sounder and VAD Jeweller is a combined audible and visual alarm device designed for use within Ajax EN54 wireless fire detection systems. It provides clear sound and visual indication during fire events, supporting effective warning for occupants in commercial and regulated environments.
The device uses the Jeweller radio protocol to maintain stable, two-way communication with continuous supervision. Battery operation removes the need for local power supplies, simplifying installation while allowing the system to monitor device status, signal quality and battery condition. The Sounder and VAD must be installed as part of a compliant Ajax EN54 system and commissioned in line with the approved fire strategy.

Advanced Enclosure Design

The enclosure is designed for durability and consistent acoustic and visual performance in commercial environments. It includes tamper protection to detect unauthorised removal or opening, allowing the system to report interference events. The housing supports secure wall or ceiling mounting and provides straightforward access for installation, commissioning and maintenance.

Precise Sound Indication
The sounder delivers controlled and consistent audible output in line with EN 54-3 requirements. Sound patterns and activation are managed by the Ajax EN54 system, ensuring synchronised alarm indication across multiple devices within the installation.
Efficient Visual Indication

The integrated visual alarm device provides clear light output compliant with EN 54-23. It supports wall and ceiling mounting options to suit different room layouts and coverage requirements. Visual activation is fully coordinated with the system, ensuring reliable indication during alarm conditions.
Approvals

The Ajax EN54 FireProtect Sounder and VAD Jeweller is compliant with EN 54-3 for audible alarm devices, EN 54-23 for visual alarm devices and EN 54-25 for wireless fire detection components. It is CE and UKCA marked and supported by third-party certification from Dedal, confirming suitability for use within regulated EN54 fire alarm systems.
