Eurofyre’s Crisis Assist Accessible Bedroom Kit is an emergency assistance alarm system designed for accessible bedrooms, providing vital aid to elderly or medically vulnerable individuals during emergencies. It complies with Building Regulations Document M and BS8300:2018, importantly featuring an “acknowledge” function required for remote locations.

The kit includes an over-door plate, two cancel plates (for bedside and bathroom), three pull cords (for bed, toilet, and bath/shower), plus necessary instructional stickers. This comprehensive solution seamlessly integrates emergency assist calls into an Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS), consolidating all disabled assistance calls into a single building-wide display point.

Available in grey or stainless steel, the kit’s plates feature LED indicators. An activated call triggers a two-tone siren and flashing LED on the over-door and cancel units. Once acknowledged from the Crisis Master Station, the LED remains lit, with a double beep every 15 seconds, reassuring the caller that help is forthcoming. It also incorporates a Braille-enhanced cancel button.

Beyond BS8300, the kit meets BS5839-9:2011 standards for disabled refuge systems. Wiring is flexible, allowing dedicated line use or sharing with a Crisis Type B Refuge Outstation via fire-rated cable, where refuge calls take priority. When connected to a Crisis Master Station, the system ensures plates and cables are fully monitored and battery-backed for continuous reliability.
