The Crisis Assist Disabled Toilet Alarm Controller, 1 Line, is a standalone system designed to facilitate emergency assistance for individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges. Fully compliant with BS8300:2009 and Building Regulations Approved Document M, it helps building owners meet their responsibility for ensuring the safety of all occupants by providing a reliable means of requesting help during emergencies. The controller should be situated in a permanently staffed area to ensure prompt action.

During an alert, the unit provides clear audio and visual feedback. An integrated buzzer sounds, and a distinctive blue “halo” indicator around the braille-enhanced Accept button flashes. Once a staff member presses the Accept button, the sounder mutes, and the LED halo remains solid until the alarm is cancelled or reset at its origin. The controller is housed in a sleek light grey double-gang plate, integrating both the controller and PSU.

The Crisis Assist system offers considerable installation flexibility, using standard two-core cable for all wiring needs, including speaker and bell wire. Devices can be wired in any order, concluding with a 10K End Of Line resistor, which grants designers freedom in determining installation routes. The unit features high-quality two-part terminals suitable for 2.5mm CSA cable, ensuring durability and reliability.

Additionally, an optional NiMH rechargeable backup battery provides extended functionality, offering peace of mind during power outages. This one-line controller can create a standalone Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) system when combined with other Crisis Assist products and is also available as part of a kit. A four-line controller is available for monitoring up to four zones.
