Description

The Crisis EVC Master Station by Eurofyre is a crucial Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS) designed for fire safety in buildings, fully compliant with BS5839-9:2011. It functions as both a fire telephone system (FT) and a disabled refuge system (DRS), or a combined unit, offering secure, bi-directional, full-duplex voice communication. This system is essential for assisting firefighters in high-rise or large structures where radio signals may be unreliable due to interference.

Ideal for smaller buildings requiring an EVC system, the Master Station can support between two and eight lines for various outstations, including Type A fixed phones, Type B refuge hands-free points, and emergency assist call points. It features an integrated assist call function. Communication lines are clearly identified by flashing red for emergency calls, blue for assist calls, and green for connected calls, adhering to BS5839-9:2011 guidelines.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the Master Station operates as a standalone unit but also offers optional networking capabilities. This allows it to form part of a larger Crisis EVC Network of up to 64 panels or to be used as a repeater in buildings with multiple control points. The system’s microprocessor control means no on-site programming is required, simplifying installation through the placement of end-of-line resistors.

The self-contained unit is housed in a powder-coated zintec enclosure with a smoked perspex door, containing the master handset, dual line cards, and an EN54-4:A2 2006 PSU. It can be surface or flush mounted using an optional bezel. The unit includes 20mm cable knock-outs and space for a backup battery, ensuring reliable operation during power outages.
