The DTSX Fiber Optic Armoured LHD Cable is engineered for compatibility with DTSX1 Fiber Optic linear heat detection systems, enabling comprehensive temperature monitoring across expansive areas up to 8 kilometres. This robust cable features steel armouring, a gel-filled interior, and a halogen-free, flame-retardant outer jacket, ensuring high resistance to crushing and tension. It is designed to operate reliably within a wide temperature range, from -25°C to +70°C.

The cable employs the Raman scattering principle for detection, sending light pulses along its fibre optic core. By monitoring and measuring the variances in scattered light, it precisely identifies and locates changes in temperature, alerting to fire or fluctuating conditions along its entire length.

Its durable construction includes a glass fibre optic core housed within a gel-filled stainless steel tube, further protected by a layer of stainless steel wire, all encased in a black flame-retardant, non-corrosive outer jacket. This layered design contributes to its resilience and long-term performance in demanding environments.

Crucially, the DTSX Fiber Optic Armoured LHD Cable is EN 54-22 compliant, signifying its adherence to European safety standards for linear heat fire detection and alarm systems. This certification guarantees its protective capabilities, including strong fire performance, flame retardancy, and low smoke emission.
