The Elmdene STX range of switch mode power supply units is specifically designed for EN 54 compliant fire detection and alarm systems. These units are certified to EN 54-4:1997, A1:2002 and A2:2006, fully UL approved, and bear the CE mark, indicating compliance with all applicable EU directives, including CPR, EMC, and LVD.

Offering a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution, the STX power supplies provide a full rated current at 27.6V dc, with models available in 1A and 2A versions. Key features include intelligent battery charging and monitoring through Elmdene’s EcoCharge technology, coupled with independent volt-free outputs for remote fault signalling such as mains failure, battery faults, charger faults, or loss of output.

The units also incorporate battery deep discharge protection and mains transient protection, alongside LED indicators for quick diagnosis of mains status, output faults, battery faults, and charger faults. Various enclosures accommodate flexible standby battery backup options, supporting capacities ranging from two 12V 1.2Ah to two 12V 17Ah batteries. Specific models like the STX2401-C (1A) and STX2402-C/E (2A) are available, operating efficiently between -10°C and 40°C.
