The FAAST LT Aspirating Smoke Detector, now discontinued and replaced by the FAAST FLEX, provided a flexible and reliable fire detection solution for demanding environments. It was particularly suited for Class C applications where maintenance is challenging, aesthetics are paramount, or traditional detection methods are unsuitable. The system also served smaller, mission-critical applications requiring very early warning detection for Class A or B fire events.

Designed for ease of installation and maintenance, FAAST LT detectors incorporated high-sensitivity laser detectors, ultrasonic flow sensors, protected electronics, and fully independent chambers. This technology enabled the device to achieve the high sensitivities required for Class C coverage up to 2000m² and Class A coverage up to 150m².

Available in both single and dual channel versions, the detectors featured customisable settings, pre-alarm functionality, and primary alarm and fault relays, with optional auxiliary event relays. Installation and ongoing configuration were simplified through the use of PipeIQ™ LT software, allowing for intuitive design, setup, and system monitoring via a USB connection. The units boasted an IP65 enclosure for enhanced durability.
