This system features an optional pre-alarm setting and boasts low installation, maintenance, and repair costs, ensuring an economical and reliable fire safety measure. Internally, the cable comprises copper conductors coated in a temperature-sensitive polymer, whose resistance changes with heat. It also integrates a calibration resistance and an average ambient temperature sensor.

These components are protected by a foil shield and an outer coat designed to minimise RFI susceptibility.
