Description

The FyreLine EN54 Fixed Controller is a dual-zone module designed to monitor up to two 1,000m zones of FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection (LHD) Cable. Approved to EN54-28:2016, this unit continuously monitors for faults or overheat/fire conditions, precisely displaying the distance along the cable to an alarm point. It integrates with conventional or addressable fire alarm panels and can also connect to industrial process control or Building Management Systems (BMS) via its RS-485 Modbus output.

For full EN 54-28 compliance, the controller must form a complete system with specific FyreLine EN54 Fixed EOL and LSZH LHD Cable. This heat sensing cable is available in 78°C or 88°C temperature ratings, with options for stainless steel braiding for added protection or a messenger wire to aid installation.

The controller offers two operating modes. In Independent Mode, each zone functions separately, triggering its own outputs upon a fault or overheat. Interlock Mode, also known as coincidence detection, provides a fail-safe mechanism, only triggering an alarm when both zones, connected with identical temperature-rated cables, simultaneously register an overheat event. This prevents false activations from non-overheat issues.
