Eurofyre offers the InfraSensing Methane Gas Sensor as part of their Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS). These systems are designed to protect assets by safeguarding against environmental hazards, preventing equipment failures, data loss, and breaches of regulations through the monitoring of critical parameters.

The Methane Gas Sensor provides continuous monitoring of methane gas levels, specifically targeting leaks from lead-acid and lithium-ion battery banks. It measures methane concentrations from 0 to 100% LEL and provides real-time data. The sensor boasts a rapid response time of under 20 seconds, ensuring swift detection of potential leaks.

Durability is a key feature, with a lifespan of up to 15 years to minimise maintenance and reduce long-term expenses. The sensor seamlessly integrates with BASE-XX Base Units, requiring the BASE-FW-SSLS firmware for full functionality.

The sensor features a robust, industrial-grade steel enclosure and versatile mounting options (0U rack, DIN rail, magnetic or wall mountable) to suit various environments. It operates in temperatures from -40°C to 75°C and can tolerate humidity levels exceeding 100% rH (non-condensing). The unit is powered by, and communicates with, the Base Unit via RJ45 cable and weighs 193g. No calibration is required.
