Description

The InfraSensing Temperature Sensor, offered by Eurofyre, is a precision instrument designed for real-time temperature monitoring in environments like data centres and industrial facilities. Crucially, it detects temperature fluctuations that may indicate a potential fire risk, such as overheating equipment or electrical faults. By maintaining systems within safe temperature ranges, the sensor plays a vital role in preventing fires.

This compact, plug-and-play sensor connects to a base unit, measuring ambient temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Multiple sensors can be deployed to ensure consistent temperatures across protected areas, like monitoring temperature differences within a server rack to ensure optimal cooling. It features a temperature resolution of 0.01°C and accuracy of ±0.2°C between 0°C and 90°C.

Technically, the sensor operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +75°C and is powered and communicates with a base unit via an RJ45 cable (CAT 6/7 recommended, up to 100m). The steel-enclosed sensor can be mounted in various ways, including 0U rack, DIN rail, magnetic, or wall mounting.

The sensor weighs 120g and consumes 60mW of power. Datasheets are available for download.
