Description

The Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 Controller provides an early warning system for lithium-ion battery failures by detecting the venting of electrolyte solvent vapours during the off-gassing phase. This early detection enables timely investigation and mitigation, preventing catastrophic thermal runaway. Compatible with all battery types and chemistries, it significantly reduces false positives and requires no calibration.

The Gen 3 system incorporates monitoring and referencing sensors, hubs, power/network switches, and a Linux-based industrial computer controller. This controller processes sensor signals, communicates status, and records time-stamped data for post-event diagnosis, capable of managing up to 100 sensors per unit.

Connectivity is facilitated by two RJ45 Ethernet ports: Network 1 for internal detection components, and Network 2 for external communication, including Modbus output, relay module connection, or integration into existing networks. The controller operates on 12 VDC, with an operating temperature range of 0 to 40°C.
