The Securiton ASD 531 is an advanced aspirating smoke detector engineered for reliable early fire detection in smaller, critical areas demanding rapid and precise response. It continuously draws air through a pipe network into a detection unit for smoke particle analysis. Valued for its ease of installation and maintenance, it suits environments like data centres, archives, and high-risk zones where traditional detectors might be insufficient.

This system effectively covers areas up to 720m² with a maximum pipe length of 40 metres, making it ideal for small to medium-sized spaces such as server rooms. Operating reliably from –30 °C to +60 °C, it is immune to disturbances like dust, dirt, moisture, and steam, ensuring robust detection and minimising false alarms even in challenging conditions.

The ASD 531 offers three sensitivity classes to cater to diverse needs. Class A provides very high sensitivity for environments such as clean rooms and data centres, detecting minimal smoke. Class B offers high sensitivity, crucial for asset protection in places like museums and libraries, while Class C provides standard sensitivity for general applications, including offices, balancing reliable detection with reduced false alarms.

Installation offers flexibility, supporting various pipe configurations and adaptable inlet orientations. The unit features an LED display indicating alarm, fault, and dirty conditions, alongside reset and power buttons. Global approvals including VdS, FM, UL, UKCA, and CE confirm the Securiton ASD 531’s compliance with stringent safety and quality standards.
