The Morley-IAS Addressable Optical Smoke Detector is designed for advanced fire detection systems, offering enhanced control, configurability, and device management. Its core innovation lies in a reimagined detection chamber, which significantly improves responsiveness while reducing sensitivity changes caused by dust and minimising false alarms from insects or debris.

The detector incorporates sophisticated processing circuitry with smoothing filters to effectively eliminate transient environmental noise, a common cause of unwanted alarms. Further enhancing its reliability, integrated software runs complex algorithms to bolster resilience against false alarms and accelerate detection speeds, ensuring accurate and timely alerts.

For visual status indication, the unit features two integral tri-colour LEDs that provide 360° visibility. These LEDs are programmable, offering static or blinking red, amber, and green options to denote various device statuses. The detector boasts a pure white finish and a new base design to complement modern building aesthetics. Environmentally conscious, it meets WEEE and RoHS legislative requirements, thereby minimising end-of-life disposal costs, and is backwards compatible with existing Series 200 plus devices.
