The 25mm Quick Release Airline assembly is specifically designed to optimise the performance and maintenance of aspirating smoke detection (ASD) systems, particularly those installed in dirty or dusty environments. Its main purpose is to facilitate the regular cleaning of sampling pipes, which can become obstructed by airborne particles over time, impacting the detector’s efficiency.

When situated close to an aspirating smoke detector, the quick release airline enables a simple and fast connection for a low-pressure, oil-free compressed air delivery system. This allows for the effective cleaning of the sampling pipes by blowing air through them in the reverse direction. A key benefit is its ability to shut off air to the detector during this process, thereby preventing any potential damage to the sensitive detection unit.

For safe and effective operation, it is crucial to install a spring-loaded air release valve (part number 22-018) at the far end of the air sampling pipe run. This valve automatically opens to release any excess pressure that builds up during the cleaning process, preventing back-flow from the compressed air system and ensuring the integrity of the pipework.

The quick release airline assembly is constructed from tough and durable ABS material, coloured grey, and weighs 0.41kg. It features chemical resistance properties and is designed for quick installation and release. The system is broadly compatible with various leading ASD brands, including VESDA, VESDA-E, ICAM, FAAST, Airsense, and Securiton, ensuring wide applicability.
