Description

The VESDA-E VEU Aspirating Smoke Detector represents the premium model within the VESDA-E range, offering advanced smoke detection with significantly enhanced capabilities. It features an ultra-wide sensitivity range, 15 times greater than the VESDA VLP, providing up to 40% increased coverage in high airflow applications and 80% more in high-ceiling environments, supported by pipe runs totalling 800 metres.

Its core Flair™ detection chamber uses short-wavelength laser technology and advanced algorithms for precise smoke detection and particle classification, akin to hundreds of thousands of sensors. A clean air barrier protects the optics, ensuring robust contamination resistance within its IP40-rated enclosure. Installation and maintenance are supported by ASPIRE-E and Xtralis VSC software.

Connectivity includes the robust bi-directional VESDAnet for centralised control, along with standard Ethernet and Wi-Fi for wireless configuration and network integration. The VEU also offers full backward compatibility with VESDA VLP and VLS detectors, simplifying upgrades.

Operation involves continuous air sampling through a pipe network, filtering, and analysis in the detection chamber, triggering configurable alarm thresholds. The VEU-A10 model includes an optional 3.5-inch colour touch screen display for real-time status and smoke levels. Alarms are signalled via relays, VESDAnet, or secondary monitoring through Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

The VESDA-E VEU is fully approved by VdS and bears the CE mark, confirming compliance with European Union directives. Eurofyre, an authorised distributor, provides expert advice and support for these systems.
