Description

The VESDA VLI by Xtralis is an early warning aspirating smoke detection (ASD) system for industrial and harsh environments up to 2000m². Its patent-pending Intelligent Filter and clean-air barrier extend operational life and ensure consistent, absolute detection by reducing air pollution and protecting optical components without recalibration.

The VLI’s robust IP66 enclosure simplifies installation, negating costly external housings, and supports up to 360m of pipe. It integrates with Xtralis software for setup and commissioning. AutoLearn™ and BACnet over Ethernet facilitate integration with building management systems, lowering total cost of ownership and reducing nuisance alarms.

Air is drawn through multi-stage filtration, including the Intelligent Filter, sub-sampling probe, and secondary filter, to minimise contaminants before reaching the laser detection chamber. A “Clean Air Zero” feature enhances consistent absolute detection via regular clean air reference readings.

Suitable for diverse industrial applications like mines, manufacturing, petrochemical plants, and warehouses, the VESDA VLI is fully LPCB approved and CE marked. It complies with all relevant European Directives, including EN54-20, ensuring safe and reliable performance in demanding settings.
