Description

The Xtralis XCC Aspirating Smoke Detector (ASD), formerly distributed by Eurofyre, is a discontinued product, with the FAAST Flex system now offered as an alternative.

Designed to be an EN54-20 Class C compliant aspirating smoke detector, the XCC provided a cost-effective solution for normal sensitivity detection in various environments. It was particularly suited for areas where traditional point detectors faced limitations, such as high ceilings, difficult maintenance access, or the need for unobtrusive detection.

Key features included coverage for areas up to 1600m² with a single pipe inlet supporting up to 18 sampling holes. The detector offered absolute smoke detection, featuring a clean air barrier to protect its optics, which helped reduce maintenance requirements and nuisance alarms in dirty environments. The XCC provided two alarm thresholds (Pre-Alarm and Fire-Alarm) and three configurable relays for seamless integration with fire alarm control panels. Configuration and maintenance were managed via VSC software, complemented by accurate airflow monitoring. Fully approved by VdS and bearing the CE mark, the XCC complied with all applicable European directives.

Eurofyre continues to offer support, spare parts, servicing, and training for existing Xtralis XCC installations.
