Overview
The FireProtect (Smoke) Jeweller features a dust-resistant, dual-spectrum sensor that uses the HazeFlow 2 algorithm to instantly distinguish real smoke from steam. Housed in a sleek, maintenance-free enclosure, it ensures high speed triggering and efficient false alarm prevention.
Using the secure Jeweller protocol, the detector communicates with an Ajax hub at a range of up to 1700 metres. This encrypted connection delivers alarms in under 3 seconds and allows for full remote management and instant notifications via the Ajax app.
Advanced Enclosure Design
This detector features an enclosure with a rotatable SmartBracket for easy 90° alignment during installation.
The tool-free battery compartment and secure tamper protection ensure long-term reliability and quick servicing, while an optional mechanical lock prevents unauthorised removal.
Sophisticated Detection Technology
The detector uses a patented smoke chamber equipped with a dual-spectrum optical sensor. By combining blue and infrared LEDs, the system measures the concentration and size of particles in the air in real time. This allows it to instantly distinguish between real smoke and common household interferences like steam or water vapour, ensuring a rapid response while eliminating false alarms.
All data from the optical sensor is processed by the proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm. It compares the particle patterns against a digital library of combustion profiles, only triggering an alarm when the signature matches a genuine fire.
This intelligent filtering ensures the system stays reliable in demanding environments, reacting to threats in seconds without being fooled by dust or cooking fumes.
Ajax generates detailed maintenance reports for the FireProtect (Smoke) Jeweller via the PRO Desktop app, tracking smoke chamber contamination, battery levels, and signal strength. These automated logs provide digital proof of compliance and alert you precisely when a sensor requires cleaning or servicing, ensuring the system remains fully operational without unnecessary manual checks.
