The SenTRI Addressable Heat Sensor with Sounder VAD is a life safety device integrating heat detection, a sounder, and a visual alarm device (VAD) into a single unit. Suitable for environments where smoke detection is unsuitable, like kitchens or plant rooms, it quickly responds to temperature increases and alerts occupants via both audible and visual alarms.
A key feature is its integrated loop isolator, improving fault tolerance and removing the need for separate isolators, simplifying system design and installation. It also contains a programmable input/output circuit, configurable as either a fire input or output, thus minimising the necessity for specialised interfaces.
The sensor is compatible with the SenTRI universal first-fix base, which streamlines upgrades and replacements. This compatibility contributes to cost-effectiveness.
Technically, the device operates between 35V and 41V, with an operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C. It produces a sound output of typically 90 dB(A) at 1 metre and conforms to EN54 Parts 3 & 5 standards. It is LPCB approved and weighs 0.11 kg. Datasheets are available for download.
