Description

The Morley-IAS Addressable Mains Rated Output Module is a loop-powered device specifically designed for fire detection systems, capable of controlling unsupervised double-pole 240Vac loads. It incorporates a bistable output relay that latches on or off based on commands from the control panel. Significantly, the module draws all its necessary power directly from the communication loop, thus eliminating the need for an external power source.

Housed in a white enclosure with integrated DIN rail brackets, the module mounts easily onto a standard 35mm ‘Top Hat’ DIN rail. It includes built-in short circuit protection for the communications loop, with individually selectable isolators for enhanced application flexibility. Enlarged tri-colour light pipes improve the visibility of the status LED and rotary switch from two sides, aiding maintenance without requiring cover removal. The multi-colour LED provides valuable diagnostic information.

For simplified installation, quick connectors and a 4+6 terminal block configuration distinguish between 24V (green) and 240V (red) connections. The relay is rated for 5A at 250VAC resistive loads, and the unit maintains reliable operation within a broad temperature range of -20°C to 60°C.
