Overview
The Securiton SecuriSmoke ASD 2000 product range is a new generation of aspirating smoke detectors designed for very early fire detection in demanding environments such as data centres, clean rooms, logistics facilities, transport hubs and large open spaces. The system continuously draws air through a network of sampling pipes and analyses it with highly sensitive scattered light smoke sensors, allowing the detection of extremely small smoke concentrations long before visible smoke develops. With alarm thresholds as low as 0.01 percent per metre and a maximum sensitivity of 0.001 percent per metre, the range provides fast, reliable warning to support staged responses and automatic fire suppression where required.
The ASD 2000 range combines high detection performance with robust, practical design. All models feature IP54 protection against dust and splash water, whisper-quiet operation at around 21 dB, and reliable operation across a wide temperature range. Each unit uses ultrasonic airflow sensors on every channel for precise monitoring of the sampling pipe network, ensuring faults such as blockages or leaks are detected quickly and accurately. Integrated centrifugal separator filters and external insect filters reduce contamination of the smoke sensors, lowering false alarm risk and extending service life. Modular internal construction allows components to be cleaned or replaced on site without special tools, reducing maintenance time and downtime.
The product family consists of three aspirator types to suit different project sizes and risk profiles.
- The ASD 2001 is a single-channel system with one airflow sensor and one smoke sensor, intended for smaller areas or focused equipment protection.
- The ASD 2002 provides two independent sampling channels with two airflow sensors and two smoke sensors, making it suitable for medium-sized spaces or where separate zones must be monitored from one detector.
- The ASD 2004 is a four-channel system with four airflow sensors and two highly sensitive smoke sensors, designed for large or complex installations where long pipe runs, multiple zones and high availability are required.
All three versions support multiple alarm levels, adjustable sensitivity classes to EN 54-20, and full integration with Securiton planning and commissioning tools, such as PipeFlow and MobileConfig, for standards-compliant design, configuration and maintenance.
Area Coverage
The SecuriSmoke ASD 2000 range supports large area coverage by drawing air through an extensive network of sampling pipes, allowing a single detector to monitor wide spaces and complex layouts. Depending on the model and EN 54-20 sensitivity class, the total pipe length can reach up to 700 metres with up to 240 sampling holes, enabling effective protection of large rooms, high-bay warehouses and long corridors from one central detection unit.
EN54-20 Aspirating Smoke Detection Sensitivity Classes

- Class A: 62 Holes
- Class B: 160 Holes
- Class C: 240 Holes
Pipe Lengths
Pipe length capability varies by model to suit different installation scales. The ASD 2001 supports a total sampling pipe length of up to 400m on a single channel. The ASD 2002 and ASD 2004 each support up to 700m total pipe length, with a maximum of 400m per channel or per smoke sensor.
Maximum distance from the detector to the furthest sampling point depends on the selected EN 54-20 class, reaching up to 150m for ASD 2001 and up to 115m for ASD 2002, while ASD 2004 supports up to 90m per channel, enabling flexible design for both compact and very large protected areas.

| ASD 2002 | Aggregate Pipe Length: 700m Linear Pipe Length: 2 x 115m |
| ASD 2004 | Aggregate Pipe Length: 700m Linear Pipe Length: 4 x 90m |

Innovative Design Structure

3 Stage Filtering
1st Stage – Course Filter (Mesh Size 0.475mm)
2nd Stage – Centrifugal Separator Filter (Particles Separation – >10 um)
3rd Stage – Digital Lint Filter (Uses algorithms to avoid false alarms)

Ultrasonic Air Flow Sensor Technology
Each sampling channel in the ASD 2000 range is monitored by an ultrasonic air flow sensor that measures air movement directly and continuously. Unlike pressure-based systems, ultrasonic sensing is not affected by dust build-up or temperature changes, so readings remain stable over time. This improves the accuracy of fault detection, allowing blockages, leaks or fan issues to be identified quickly and precisely, and ensuring the correct volume of air is always delivered to the detection chamber for reliable early smoke detection.
Whisper-quiet Fan
The ASD 2000 range uses a whisper-quiet fan that makes it the quietest aspirating smoke detector on the market, with a sound pressure level of just 21 dB(A). This allows the system to be installed in noise-sensitive environments such as hospitals, museums, offices and control rooms without causing disturbance, while still maintaining stable airflow and high detection performance.
Highly Sensitive Detection Chamber
The ASD 2000 range features an advanced detection chamber with an integrated centrifugal separator filter that removes larger dust particles before air reaches the smoke sensor. This ensures only fine smoke particles are analysed, reducing contamination and the risk of false alarms while maintaining extremely high sensitivity. The result is stable, long-term performance with reliable early detection, even in environments with dust, airflow turbulence or changing conditions.
Orientation
The Securiton ASD 2000 units are designed so the front panel and internal components can be installed in an inverted orientation. This allows the detector to be mounted to suit site conditions while keeping the display, indicators and serviceable parts easily accessible, improving visibility and simplifying commissioning and maintenance in confined or high-level installations.

Indication
The LED icons show system status at a glance. Green indicates normal operation. Amber shows faults or maintenance warnings. Red signals alarm conditions. Additional icons confirm airflow, power and communication status, helping engineers quickly identify issues and take action.
Intuitive User Experience
PipeFlow 3D Software

PipeFlow 3D is a PC based planning tool used to design and calculate aspirating pipe networks in line with EN 54-20. Floor plans are imported, pipe routes and sampling holes are modelled in 3D, and airflow and sensitivity are automatically calculated to ensure compliant system design before installation.
MobileConfig App

The MobileConfig app is used on site for commissioning, configuration and maintenance of the ASD 2000 range. It allows parameters from PipeFlow to be transferred to the detector, provides live status and event views, supports testing and fault diagnosis and enables secure access for service and long-term system monitoring.
Cloud-Based Access Management
The ASD 2000 range uses cloud-based access management instead of physical dongles for configuration and service access. Authorised users log in securely via the MobileConfig app, which verifies identity through the Securiton cloud before allowing commissioning, parameter changes or maintenance functions. This removes the need for hardware keys, simplifies access control and ensures that only trained, approved personnel can work on the system, while maintaining full traceability of changes and service actions.
