Linear Heat Detection (LHD) offers fast, reliable fire and overheating detection suitable for most environments, including those with challenging conditions like airflow, chemicals, or contaminants that may affect traditional systems. An LHD system typically comprises heat sensing cable and a controller. When the cable reaches a preset temperature, the controller reports the event, often indicating its location, to the fire alarm panel.
This technology is ideal for applications such as cable trays, conveyor belts, tunnels, car parks, hazardous areas, and thatched roofs, where its robust nature provides an effective solution.
The FyreLine range features three types: EN54 Fixed, which is BS EN54-28:2016 approved and provides event location; Digital, a cost-effective, fixed-temperature option; and Analogue, offering continuous temperature monitoring with user-configurable alarm thresholds and a pre-alarm function.
