Description

The FyreLine Digital Interface Monitor Module (DiMM) is a dual-zone unit designed to monitor up to two zones of Digital Linear Heat Detection (DLHD) Cable. Upon detecting an overheat or fire, the DiMM automatically calculates and displays the precise distance, in both feet and metres, to the alarm point along the cable.

Operating either independently or in interlock mode, each zone provides separate alarm and fault outputs. The module is intended for integration between the FyreLine DLHD cable and conventional or addressable fire alarm control panels. It features power, fault, and alarm indicators, alongside volt-free outputs for each zone. Additionally, the DiMM can connect to industrial process control systems via its two-wire RS-485 Modbus RTU output.

Approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL 864 10th Edition) and bearing the CE mark for compliance with applicable directives, the DiMM boasts an IP65 rating and a backlit display showing zone status. It operates on 12-36Vdc and supports a maximum zone length of 3000 metres (10,000 feet). Essential for accurate location identification, system mapping is recommended during installation. The unit includes two Form C volt-free relay contacts for alarm and two optoisolated photo-transistor outputs for fault.
