Overview
The E2S IS-MC1 Intrinsically Safe Sounder and LED Beacon is a compact, combined signalling device designed for use in hazardous environments where explosive gases or dust may be present. It provides both an audible alarm and a visual warning in a single unit, helping to improve safety and awareness across industrial sites.
The unit delivers a sound output of up to 100 dB(A), ensuring alarms remain clearly audible even in areas with moderate background noise. The integrated LED beacon provides a bright visual indication, which is particularly useful where hearing protection is worn or ambient noise levels may reduce the effectiveness of sound alone.
Engineered for intrinsically safe systems, the IS-MC1 operates with low current draw and can be powered using a single Zener barrier or galvanic isolator. This simplifies installation and reduces system complexity compared to separate sounder and beacon devices.
The enclosure is constructed from durable, flame-retardant materials and is rated to IP65, making it suitable for use in demanding industrial environments. With global certifications, including ATEX, IECEx and FM, the IS-MC1 is a reliable solution for fire and process signalling in hazardous locations.
